Scotty A. Gibbs, DVM Dr. Gibbs is a general practitioner and owner of Hilltop Animal Hospital. A native North Carolinian, Dr. Gibbs earned his BS and DVM degrees from North Carolina State University. He completed an internship in equine medicine and surgery at the renowned Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He served as an associate veterinarian for a international equine racing and breeding operation based out of Lexington, KY prior to returning to North Carolina. He has been a member of the greater triangle veterinary community since 2000. Dr. Gibbs is an active member of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association and serves on their Board of Directors and Executive Committee. His medical interest include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, anesthesia, and pain management. He is married to Kelly, a cardiac critical care nurse. Together they have two wonderful children, Carter and Bella. They share their home with a Maltese, Eden; and two German Shorthair Pointers, Ben and Annie. Dr. Gibbs enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
S. Aubrey Brown, DVM Dr. Brown is a general practitioner and associate veterinarian at Hilltop Animal Hospital. A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Brown completed her undergraduate training in Equine Sciences at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University in 2008. Her professional interest include dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and equine sports medicine. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. She shares her home with her husband, Joel; and their two children, Wyatt and Quin. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and riding horses.
Brittany Saad, Veterinary Assistant Brittany has been a Veterinary Assistant at HillTop Animal Hospital since July 2006. Brittany graduated from NC State University with a degrees in Animal Science and Nutrition. She is schedule to begin a masters program in equine reproduction in the fall of 2011. Upon completion of her masters program, Brittany plans on attending veterinary school.
Sarah Partin, Veterinary Assistant Sarah joined the HillTop team in October 2009. She started working as a veterinary assistant when she was a student at NC State University. She graduated in May 2005 with a degree in Animal Science and is now pursuing a career in nursing. She has two dogs, Cheyenne and Cassie, whose antics keep her constantly entertained. She also enjoys horseback riding and frolicking with friends and family during her free time.
